Mediatek USB VCOM Cellphone Drivers

Need these Mediatek USB VCOM Drivers so fastboot can find Doogee Device. Anyone know if these drivers are available for Linux?

What do you mean by "fastboot" being able to find the device?

Mediatek USB drivers should already be in recent Linux kernels IIRC. I used the Mediatek SP_Flash_Tool several months ago on Slackware, to root two android devices (one was a doogee, and the other an UMI SUPER).

This may be of some use, although focused on flashing custom roms to a device:

If you look at guides for this process relating to the SP_Flash_Tool being used on a Windows host, there is an extra step to setup/install "VCOM" drivers.
This wasn't needed for the rooting process on Linux, assuming the USB drivers are already present as available kernel modules.

@coralfang Finally someone who ran SP Flashtool on Slackware & for a Doogee.
What is the equivalent of 80-persistent-usb.rules on slackware? Did you have to install libusb-dev or not. I'm trying to follow the same tutorial. Have SP_Flash_Tool v5.1816_Linux running in /home/xxx/spflash, the DoogeeMix stock download unpacked in /Downloads/Doogee/stock/unpack MT6757_Android_scatter.txt set in spflash tool loads fine every time I open the tool ./flash_tool; MTK_AllinOne_DA.bin is also selected. I simply unzip the tool to install didn't use any scripts or create a slackpk - don't know how.

Whenever I connect the USB Cable the Battery Icon comes on in a minute of so? Don't know how to take the phone apart to remove battery Device is in Orange State and has Jemmini's 3.1.1 TWRP Recovery installed, I can boot into fastboot using the Up+ Power Buttons but on a normal reboot it doesn't go past Doogee Logo and security & Orange State Warning?

Created the Blacklist:

 You insert these two lines:
 ATTRS{idVendor}=="0e8d", ENV{ID_MM_DEVICE_IGNORE}="1"
 ATTRS{idVendor}=="6000", ENV{ID_MM_DEVICE_IGNORE}="1"

Changed from Download Only to Uprgrade Firmware
With the Battery in - Phone Power Off Connect USB After Hitting Download Button

But then the Battery Icon comes on I get the "Status Change Error"

Connecting to BROM...
