Virtualdub error in Wine

I donít know if i am posting the correct forum; If not I, apologize ahead of time.
i use debian 9,xfce,64 bit.I am trying to get VirtualDub to run in Wine. The program
does load.Screen capture works,video file(emulation) works.When I try to connect to
my EZGrab(av to usb 2.0/534d-0021/Macrosil)I get a"VirtualDub cannot connect to
the desired capture driverĒerror.I donít think itís the ezgrab because it works in Guvcview,
OBS-studio and VLC.Neither OBS or Guvcview have frame rate settings and VLC only
captures raw recordings.Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hmmmm...

Wine works by translating windows syscalls into posix ones. For things that do port & driver interfacing, that's a sub-optimal approach. There's also the 32/64 bit thing. PCs are 64bit, but much windoze code is 32bit. You probably have a 64 bit distro, but your program could be looking for 32 bit libs, to issue 32 bit syscalls.

I have a slackware 64bit install with about ~300Megs of compat32 packages added, & specially recompiled glibc, & gcc and a 32/64 bit wine but most folks don't. You can chase around and find if your package has 32bit code. Every program uses /lib/ld.so. I have /lib/ld.so (=32bit) and /lib64/ld.so (=64bit). . I don't know what you have; you need to find out. The 'file' command is extremely useful and we need to see your error also.
