Question Firefox "Gah. Your tab just crashed" on XUbuntu 20.04 LTS

Hello,

I have a wierd problem for some time now...

I have a laptop running XUbuntu 20.04 LTS (XFCE) Desktop and running Firefox 89.

On some sites, especially Google sites (Search engine, Messages for Web, drive), my Firefox tabs crash unexpectedly every time.
Other sites work fine: Facebook, WhatsApp web, and so on...

If I start Firefox in troubleshooter mode (Safe Mode) it works like charm.

I don't have any fancy extensions, only the basics and I only enabled the System's Dark Theme. Disabling the extensions does not remediate the problem.

The only way it works is in Safe Mode.

Anyone has some ideas on how to fix this ? :-)

Thank you !

Nevertheless, it would be good to know exactly. We do not know your definition of "basics".

Also, make sure you clean up your profile when closing firefox. There's preferences for that.
Make a backup of your profile and start troubleshooting with it (delete more and more until it works again).
Possibly it's a once-only problem, but if you get it fixed and it comes back later, you know where to look.
