KDEnLive from Slackbuild

I recently built KDEnlive from slackbuilds.org and I seem to be unable to render any video, instead I get just audio and a video of the waveforms.

A google search seems to be somewhat common if there are missing dependencies.

I found this thread as I have the same error but it says it doesn't matter.

I did have quicktime fail but I don't need it and nothing else complained about it not being installed.

I tried rebuilding everything from the slackbuild but same thing.

hi enine,

FYI I just tested it here and I succesfully created a video with audio: as the thread you linked the only error here is with libdv (but it's unused today so it doesn't matter).
quicktime is needed for the dependency mlt, so you need to install that before building mlt and, only then, build kdenlive.

Ahh, thanks, I should have caught that. The fix on Slackbuilds worked fine. So I removed everything and rebuilt everything in order again and still the same thing.
I don't see any options to debug or anything that might tell me what is missing.

try launching kdenlive from a terminal and see if the output there tells you something.

Yeah, I thought of that, nothing that tells me anything.

I'm going to try Eric's KDE5 Slackware live in a VM and see what happens there.

Just been there and done that, kdenlive pops open fine, not sure what to do with it just yet, as I ffmpeg as needed.

Make sure you do current in the vm for full plasma5 effect.

Let us know how it goes.

Well, the live cd download keeps stopping in the middle.

I did get this to work, some sort of self contained archive format
https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/relea...age.mirrorlist
