kernel driver for sound car

I would like to know to determine which driver is being used by the kernel in order to use the sound card?

This is what I got from a quick search. Does it help? How do I display the name of my audio card driver from the command line in Lubuntu 11.10?

OP: when making a post, please provide more information, like what version of Linux, what type of computer, in your case, sound card, etc. Providing adequate information helps the volunteers here help you to solve your problem faster.

@sevendogsbsd. The OP likely doesn't have any more information to share. They are just posting verbatim questions taken from a preparation guide for a Linux certification exam.

Actually, I'm curious what guide it is because I find some of the questions rather interesting. A couple of them seem to be Ubuntu-specific which I also find a bit strange because UCP has been long discontinued.

Ah ok - I recognize the name, yeah. One would think experience is necessary before getting a certification because going to an employer and saying "I am certified" should mean something.
