Running into problems creating Virtual Machines

I was trying to install Linux Mint KDE in Microsoft Hyper-V last night.
Every time it got to the screen that said remove installation medium and press enter, pressing enter did nothing and I was unable to shut down the VM.
1. Any ideas why? What was going on with that?

I was trying to install android Bliss OS in VirtualBox today. Every time I removed the installation medium when I was done installing, it would boot back up telling me “could not read from the boot medium.”
2. If I installed it to the virtual disk, I no longer need the ISO, right? Therefore, in VirtualBox, I can click Devices > Optical Drive > remove ?

3. On some of my VM’s I've made in the past, they would not work if I changed the location of the iso. Does the VM need the iso after installation for some reason?

I guess I need to try it and see if it works. I did find a howto but of course it does not include that step... Do you select yes when it asks to install the boot loader?

For Bliss, I was following along with this guide.
https://www.how2shout.com/how-to/ins...irtualbox.html

I made the partition bootable and installed grub when it asked.
