Can linux help transfer

I usually need to transfer some large files downloaded from cloud storage from my Huawei mate 10 pro smartphone to a Thinkpad laptop. But usually forget a USB. Can Linux help in this case?

"Cloud storage" means that the files aren't actually on your phone, tehy're on somebody else's server (tm) on the internet.
So, figure out how to download straight from there, you don't need a USB cable.
Anyhow, that's the most straightforward solution.
Of course it might also be possible to download files from cloud storage via yopur phone to your laptop - connecting phone & laptop through bluetooth or wifi.

Rclone comes to mind. Or its GUI wrapper, Rclone browser.
