Embedded Linux Board

Hello,

My first question here is kinda project.

I want to create a embedded device, running linux on it which should fit the following ideas:
- should be as small as possible
- should be injected into a electrical outlet (so the power supply unit should be as small as possible)
- should have a touchscreen display / if not possible only a display

Any ideas where to go?
which boards to use?

Thank you !

Many of the TI AM335x Cortex-A8 System-on-Modules (SoM)seem to fit the bill. The size of a usable touch-screen sounds like more of a size limit than the CPU. When you say 'create a embedded device', are you also talking about hardware, or are you looking for off-the-shelf hardware? Some such SoM's are available from Digikey and other online electronics retailers.
Not sure what you mean by 'injected into a electrical outlet'. Does that mean simply that it must be powered by AC line voltage? Most small embedded systems of the sort you describe run nicely on DC voltage from a wall-wart type power supply.

Hi EMBG,

I know exactly what you want, we are TI official partner and focusing on TI ARM9, A8 embedded board, providing system on module(SOM) and single board, etc.

Our SOM is very small size and low-consumption, it is also at low cost!

We can also provide matched touch screen with the boards.

If u interested, pls feel free to contact me via mail: jean_zhu@ema-tech.com
