[SOLVED] specification for .mailrc

I could swear it used to be in mailx's docs; I edited mine years ago. I can't find it now, don't remember everything.

system-wide settings are in /etc/mail.rc (Centos 7)
documentation is in man 1 mailx
I don't have any ~/.mailrc set up on either this desktop or my server.
