Is there a single pack for a LAMP install?

Instead of installing each of the scripts on the command line, is there a full pack of LAMP that will install it all?

Thinking of Q4)S (Debien) as the Distro.

Thanks

oz

ozstar,

There is the single XAMPP package:
https://www.wikihow.com/Install-XAMPP-on-Linux

Alternatively, use LAMP and ignore the WordPress part on here:

Many thanks.

I am thinking of installing it on a Q4OS (Debian) Linux distrib which I would install on my Win10x64 1909

It sets up a dual boot for Linux.

Does this sound like a good plan for a non Linux guy ?

The only thing I’d point out about having a server on a dual-boot ‘puter is that your Windows won’t be available when the server is running and vice versa.

A virtual server would allow both to run ata the same time.

An alternate way may be to look at a vm from Turnkey linux that has a vm built. I think you just have to secure it after boot.

Many thanks guys.

I ended up installing Zorin 15 and have downloaded Xampp to the Downloads folder but install needs to have Superuser privs and I cant seem to get that done.
Have got the # cursor on the terminal however it is obviously not the install privs I need.

Zorin is based on Ubuntu and the link below expalins installing xampp. The link forgot to precede all the commands with sudo to get root privileges so make sure you use sudo with each of the commands. If you used sudo su and have the # at the prompt, you should have root privileges and be able to enter the commands. You should have been asked for your primary user password.
