Help settying up a webserver on q40s

HI,

I am a Win 10 nut but want to set up a Linux web server on my Win 10x64 box.X OS.

I see Linux Q40S (Debian) looks like Win so it would be great start for me as it sits with Windows easily.

Once I have this installed, how do I go about setting up a webserver to serve sites to the internet please?

Would I use the LLAMP pack?

Would this give me all I need ?

Any help appreciated.

oz

You'll have to decide what you wish to use.

http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/
https://caddyserver.com/

http://www.lighttpd.net/

https://github.com/zeit/serve
https://github.com/zethra/servy

Python module http.server

Then you'll want a firewall set up to keep the bad guys out.

I know that's a lot, but...tell some more about your requirements, what you have tried so far, what problems that you are having, etc.

Since nobody knows what you need, this question can't be answered.

Personally, I run lighttpd at home on an Odroid server running Ubuntu 16. No Apache, no database, no Perl/PHP. This fits my needs. You decide if it fits yours.
