Angry Arch registration question

I realise that this issue has come up several times across the forums but for some reason it is not working for me.

I am inputting date -u +%V$(uname)|sha512sum|sed 's/\W//g'

and getting
23ca834f4c07c2f5b95c2f2d7b7e3ca6e9f003b6811ae4a3fb90d8556f8e71bd4c9c8ae586a4941dfc65841806483961b0a6 ffb2de33f44ae5bf792a372f0dca

which apparently is incorrect.

Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks!

I'm getting the exact thing
Code:
$ date -u +%V$(uname)|sha512sum|sed 's/\W//g'
23ca834f4c07c2f5b95c2f2d7b7e3ca6e9f003b6811ae4a3fb90d8556f8e71bd4c9c8ae586a4941dfc65841806483961b0a6ffb2de33f44ae5bf792a372f0dca

Posting the solution here would defeat the purpose of that registration challenge, wouldn't you agree?

Well, yes if the answer was correct... I can't even see a way to contact the arch forum moderators without being a member. Can someone please let them know that there is a glitch if that is the case?

You don't say where you are resident, but I wouldn't do it near the beginning of the week. We are GMT+10, and consequently it's a lame test.

Oops - missed that, was concentrated on the %V. I take it all back.

Maybe ...

If at first you don't succeed... I tried again this morning and it worked. Didn't change anything, it just worked. Makes me a little less comfortable about using Arch...

That's the fora, not the distro itself. I've used Arch successfully on x86, x86_64 and ARM for many years successfully. But you have to stay committed - read the news articles for gotchas, and update regularly.

I haven't used the forum in almost as long, but back then they didn't have the challenge for signup. Thems was simpler times.
