I don't get it, lsmod shows the iwlwifi driver loaded for the intel wireless adaptor but none of the other commands shows anything. Maybe a hardware issue, possibly a connector problem where the adaptor plugs in. You may have to purchase an external wireless usb adaptor.

i thought of that but it works perfectly in windows so it should work here, is it possible no drivers are being loaded for the sdio? also it is on a docking station and right after grub it loses power and can no longer use the USB ports

If it works in windows it isn't a hardware problem,

seen that and it hasn't helped , everything says this should be working, why it doesn't I don't know, it has to be hardware detection because of the fact that the docking station stops working after grub

If you run lspci without the docking station, the wireless network adaptor is listed, is that correct?

nope, I thought that as well that maybe it was the docking station causing issues but no it doesn't show in there either
