Bodhi legacy 32 vanishing NM Applet HW = Gateway laptop 512G Ram

Greetings everyone,

I am a newbee and this Bodhi Legacy Live CD is really confusing.
Some days I see the NM Applet but usually I dont which is confusing.

and on the rare time I am able to connect to a wireless signal, Midori keeps getting disconnected.

i tried using my other laptop this time a dell latitude 4110 and same thing I cant get it to connect to the wireless network.

I cant seem to find the solution to this issue. I wanted to use the older laptops that every one is not using so other people who don't have computers can learn how to to go on line.

Can anybody give me any help on this issue?

Thanks everyone.

Several years ago I had such a machine, and Bodhi was a good distro for it. I don't recall any wifi issues, but I don't remember the chipset it used. However this was when Bodhi was a basically 32-bit (light-weight) distro, and was still under active development - the 64-bit was only just beginning to be available at that time.
I'm not sure I still have any 32-bit machines, but I'll have a look.
