SSH Timeout settings for different subnets

Hello,

We have some users that are now working from home, and they are connecting to our server with a different subnet. They are experiencing timeouts that they never got while being on the same subnet as the server. I have looked through /etc/ssh/sshd_config but I did not see anything that indicated different settings for different IP subnets.

Another thing, they apparently are not losing the session, as I do who -a and I can see the sessions. We are not currently using iptables nor selinux. Any ideas?

Found the answer: http://computing.help.inf.ed.ac.uk/ssh-timeouts-home

Looks like we had to have the remote users configure a keep-alive setting because of NAT. Hope it helps someone else.
