Hi,
I want to install linux on my laptop by I can't decide between Ubuntu and Elementary. I read that elementary is based on Ubuntu just another GUI, so does that mean every app and program that was meant for Ubuntu I can install on Elementary? Is it full compatible?
Thanks in advance.

Elementary OS is Based on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. So ye pretty much any Ubuntu app would work. The app center has a different apps then Ubuntu Store and no Snap integration so you would need to use Snap Store to install Snap apps, Also it has flathub integration so you need to download a single app from flathub.org for it add it to app center

As I will be testing elementary out along with Solus Budgie to see which one I will switch to next.
Currently running MX Linux as that is what I had put on my Mk IV, but some of the quirks are just too annoying for me to want to keep dealing with.
