After a while my e-mail subscription is simply disabled. In the last couple of months I've had to check the box manually several times. I don't understand why this is happening. Anyone has any ideas?
HI,
I'm referring to "Receive E-Mails from administrator". This enables the sending of e-mails for any threads that I've subscribed to, if I understand it right. This is simply disabled on its own, so I stop receiving e-mails for subscribed threads.
It's happened again. It's happening over and over... it's really frustrating. I need to check it every time. I don't get e-mails for new posts in subscribed threads. really annoying
I've not been getting subscription notifications, and just found the "Receive Email from Administrators" option unticked.
I don't know if I did that manually in the past or not, but it would be useful if the description of the option mentioned that it is required for thread subscriptions to work.
Forum softwares handle the term "subscription" inconsistently.
To some it refers to some sort of notification on the site only, when you're logged in, to others it refers to email notifications only.
Personally I always liked LQ's model that allows me to get notified of new posts in a particular thread even when I haven't posted to it.
But I would hate to get Email for every new post from LQ.
