Hi guys,

The other day I tried to boot up the G5 from the hard drive. It worked. I also tried the next day and it worked again. I am quite sure it did not try to automaticly boot off the live disk because it was in my hand at the time and it also had my saved files and my customised sidebar. I am still trying to get it to boot again like the other two times but with no luck.

As for the boot info script, I have been trying that too. I have downloaded the file from SourceFourge and I have put it in a folder called bootinfo and ran the script. This is all I got:
Code:
lubuntu@lubuntu:~$ /home/lubuntu/bootinfo ./bootinfoscript
bash: /home/lubuntu/bootinfo: is a directory
I also tried the same thing but with a .tar.gz on the end of ./bootinfoscript and it returned the same result.

Thanks for your time.

The shell thinks you want to run a command 'bootinfo' located in /home/lubuntu/. The README section on https://github.com/arvidjaar/bootinfoscript explains what you should be doing.

Instructions from the ReadMe file:

Code:
 Run the script as sudoer:

    sudo ./bootinfoscript <outputfile>

or if your operating system does not use sudo:

    su -
    ./bootinfoscript <outputfile>

When running the script, without specifying an output file, all the output
is written to the file "RESULTS.txt" in the same folder as the script.
******----------------------------******-------------------------******---------------------------------******--------------------***

Run that bootinfoscript as root:

Code:
sudo ./bootinfoscript
Put in your password and hit Enter.
