diablo's best aspect is trading, there is one site where most of players trade d2 items etc.
its easiest way to get rare/perfect items.

What is your character @/ ? (I use abr.)

Edit: Mine is mostly necromancer or sorceress. Hate paladin. There is no reason to play paladin - it is just too easy.

Edit: There are many nice mods for version 1.13c and earlier. Some playable some crazy. There is PlugY mod which export to the game shared stash - contents of stash can be shared between characters. Nice in single player. Best cheat is Hero Editor - only works for 1.13c (and earlier). Create low-defence indestructible armor with high-level skills on being struck - and you don't have to do anything - just run. And aura against undead is very good.

Fireball? For me it was much easier cold mastery. But most time I play necro. I like him. Has neutral character - if you value you life leave this - that's ok? And most important it runs in most natural way. Say druid is moving its legs like they were made from wood. Paladin jumps sensselesly high its knees! Just awful. Barbie I understand - it legs as thick. Amazon also moves ok. For me necro is kind of engineer - some use metal and wood - it uses bare bones of dead bodies. Never got the idea to equip necro with scythe - kind of Death resemblance. Intelligent guy with particular set of skills. It just fight for itself - not for good or angels or whatever.

The last more questions: are you using autoclicker? Perhaps stupid. On windowze there is nice autoclicker - on Linux I didn't find something equally useful. I tried to use that windowze autoclicker on wine - but it not worked. Say windowze autoclicker has auto-aim capability - just point mouse on enemy character and your character starts to attack with its left-click mouse attack. With qjoypad one can get something close - but ...

i use fireball sorc bcus andariel has lower fire resistance compared to other resistances, at hell difficulty it is better to use blizzard with some points put into cold mastery (-resist cap is 150% for pvm) that means max -resistance% is reached at skilllevel 27.

also i like paladin, different pvp builds and charged strike amazon.
