KJots on Slackware64-current of 19th November with Alien's Plasma5 November Updates
A couple of days ago I upgraded my laptop to the latest Slackware64-current (of 19th November) and Alien BOB's Plasma5 (of 20th November). Everything seems to run fine. The only little issue I have is with KJots.
When I start Kontact and click on the "Notes" icon, I get:
Code:
library /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/kjotspart.so cannot be loaded: (
/usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/kjotspart.so: undefined symbol: _ZN7Akonadi3Job16doHandleResponseExRKNS_8Protocol7CommandE)
But the library is there, and re-installation of the KJots package (Plasma 5 /extra) didn't help. Does anyone else have this? Could this be caused by a missing dependancy?
In the ktown repo, it seems the latest kjots package was not (re)compiled recently (package file timestamp = January 2017), which is to be expected if the software itself received no updates.
I do not think kjots has a standalone Slackbuild, though, so doing a recompile may be a bit involved.
Wow, you are so fast, Slackers! Thanks a lot! With the updated package Kjots works just fine from within Kontact and standalone (and I love this program, and use it for so many things from shopping lists to GTD).
@gmgf: Special thanks to you for posting the issue in the comments of Eric's blog.
@Alien BOB: Thanks a lot for re-compiling the package so quickly.
