Hi.

I am running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS on VPS and this software asks me to export encrypted information to either USB or floppy. I obviously dont have any phsyical access to VPS.

How can i achive that?

Any advice?

You can have a virtual floppy, which is basically a floppy image mounted as a disk. Whether or not your ?commercial VPS allows that would depend on your terms of service I guess. Don't see why not.

Depending on the software, you can probably write to a loop mounted image without any issues.

Thank you.

A quick follow up question.

How can I mount a folder that would act as a floppy device?

It has to be a folder not an image file so i can actually see the exported content.

I found this tutorial - http://www.legroom.net/2010/06/05/cr...s-within-linux but it has to be reversed as my goal here is to see the content.

/mnt/floppy will be your folder. Tell the software to use that.

I imagine the statement to use floppy/USB is just a general one to put the data on a (safe) removable device. You just need to fool it to use a convenient mountpoint.
