Alright!!
I posted on a Jefferson County BBS and have generated some additional interest there as well. I think we may have enough people so that I can start to plan a first meeting!!

I am shooting for sometime mid to late Feb.

if anyone else is interested please let me know and I will post again when I come up with some tentative times/places.

Okay, I am reactivating this thread in hopes that more people from the North Country are now on Linuxquestions.org. If there are at least 5 or 6 people interested in getting a lug started in Watertown, NY please reply to this post or send me an email.

Thanks in advance

Watertown LUG First Meeting!!

Hello,
We are planning to have our first LUG meeting for the Watertown, NY area. This is an informational meeting for anyone and everyone that is interested in getting involved in a Watertown based Linux Users Group.

Meeting Date: Monday, September 26th, 2005
Meeting Time: 7:00pm
Meeting Place: IHC Intermediate School -- Used to be the old St. Pats school on Massey Street.

The meeting agenda will be:

Overview of what a LUG does
How to get involved in a LUG
Open discussion on Starting a LUG in Watertown.
Plan (hopefully) next meeting date, time and place

Anyone that is interested is welcome to come, it doesn't matter what your experience level is on Linux or even if you are just starting to get interested in Linux!!

I would like to get RSVP's just so I know who is planning on attending. Please send regrets as well so we can possibly plan a second date/time. Feel free to post your RSVPs/Regrets here or send me an email

If you have any questions please post here or drop me an email at
Dominic_Uliano@yahoo.com

Hope to see a good turnout there
