Virtualbox missing package

I'm running Suse Leap 15.1.

There are a couple of heritage programs I would dearly love to run here but 'wine' cant manage.

Looking through I saw that 'Virtualbox' might be a contender, however, although I downloaded and installed it from the Suse site, it complains, and I get the same warning each time I try to install an upgrade, please see the below.

virtualbox-qt-8.0.12-|p151.2.9.1.x86_64 requires virtualbox =6.0.12, but this requirement cannot be provided
Now, I have 73 new updates which won't update because of that error message.

I have been through the update list and deselected all the Virt* I could see, but that makes no difference, the same error comes up again and again.

So, three matters arise:

Can anyone point me to a trusted source of the virtualbox-qt etc that it can't find?

Surely something is very wrong when a single missing package stops all other upgrades?

This is 2020! Why can I not select that error message and paste it into the request?

Addendum

I have used Yast to uninstall virtualbox. It reports it done.

any attempt to install updates, including 9 security updates fails with 'virtualbox' warnings.

Disclaimer: I am not running suse and may be confused here, but..

From reading the Suse docs, leap should COME with Virtualbox (the open source parts) installed by default.
This makes me wonder WHAT you installed, and Why, or if I am not understanding the SUSE pages correctly?

Did you do anything that might have corrupted your software database or repo sources?

If all else fails you might seek to uninstall all of the Virtualbox packages, and test to ensure that the problem is resolved and all of your installed packages are current (up to date) then install Virtualbox. Check the support pages at SUSE first, to ensure that you have not encountered a known issue. (Perhaps with a known fix!)

Hi Sauerland,
After my addendum to wpeckham, (which I can't find), I was concerned at the failure of the security updates and so I used zypper to uninstall virtualbox. That was successful.

I have now incorporated 77 updates and 9 security updates and no longer get the 'virtualbox' warnings.

I still want to install virtualbox for Leap 15.1 so I'll add the outputs you asked for.
