The "Your system is running on low power" notification.

Hi: When the battery is low I receive said notification. The DE is Xfce v. 4.12 and the web browser is Firefox Quantum 61.0.1. Who sends this message to me? The DE? For I had Slackware installed with Xfce 4 and never did I receive that notification. At present the O.S. is Arch Linux.

If I had to guess it's coming from the DE:-

Is this Arch install running on a laptop?

xfce4-power-manager

and there's a xfce settings gui where you can tell the notification daemon which notifications you want to see.

You're Welcome:-

I encourage you to read the Arch Linux documentation. Get to know your system, how to run it and how things work. Doing so will pay off in the long run because you should have a lot less surprises:-
