Installation failed

Hello

I have Rock Linux installation CD, I put it in, boot from cd, some strings run on my screen and then rock installation manager will be generated.

I hit the 0 (2nd stage from floppy, cd or something) then the system telling me if you press 0 then you use floppy if you press 1 (there is no text available).

I try both selection and finalize wizard then the system telling me no CD or such device available but the key thing it is because i burn the cd and put it into box and taste some "first boot strings"

Any ideas how to deal with it?

Root reason

I think i figured out the root reason my motherboard Asus P5B-VM have JMicro (SATA and PATA controller) but i am not able to figure out howto create a work around for that.

That is my Hardware spec:

If you know how to "fix it" please share it!

Finally

Finally i figured out the solution for JMicron PATA issue. Following kind of boot option keep the CD ROM support available also after the kernel loading:

Code:
ROCK all-generic-ide=1 irqpoll
Hopefully it save your time!
