Exclamation I keep getting GRUB error 18

I tried to install Rock Crystal about 6 times (of which one succesfull in Virtualbox), but I keep getting a Grub 18 error The same machine was running Gentoo (and Debian) before without problems.

I tried different configurations but now I am lost at what to do. Who can help me?

Grub error 18 means that your hard drive is larger than the BIOS can address. Linux only uses the BIOS to address the hard drive during boot so boot is the only time the problem can appear. Gentoo and Debian probably had /boot located near enough to the beginning of the hard drive that they had no problem.

The way to solve the problem is to create a small (500Mg) partition at the beginning of the hard drive and place /boot in that partition.
