xcdroast not working

for some reason i can't get xcdroast working. it used to work.

if i run xcdraost as root from command prompt i get the message:

"** WARNING **: No /usr/local/bin/cdrecord installed

** WARNING **: (Invalid lib-directory? Check -l option)
"

i look in my /usr/local/bin/ , and see no cdrecord. i have installed it several times.

if i use my add/remove package manager and untick "cdrecord" i get "unable to locate package" message.
but if i try and install a rpm cdrecord package it tells me it is already installed.

i'm at a loss here.

Go to a console or terminal window and type 'which cdrecord' - maybe it's not in /usr/local/bin (mine's in /usr/bin). If that doesn't work, try finding out what the RPM actually installed by typing:

rpm -q --filesbypkg cdrecord

If you eventually find out where the cdrecord binary is located, you should be able to reconfigure xcdroast to use it, or you can just create a symbolic link (like a shortcut) where xcdroast expects to find it, like this (as root):

ln -s /usr/bin/cdrecord /usr/local/bin/cdrecord

where the first path is the actual location, and the second is the place where xcdroast wants it to be.

I had to link the following four files to get it to work (actually I just copied them to /usr/local/bin):
cdda2wav
cdrecord
mkisofs
readcd
