X config wrong following upgrade

Hi,

I've just installed an upgrade from Red Hat 7.1 to R.H. 8.0 on an ancient Dell, with on board S3 Trio 64 graphics card.

Following the upgrade my X server doesn't work properly. Half my screen displays only the bottom LH corner of the desktop, about 4-8 times magnified, the rest of the screen is blank.

I can bring up a command line, how do I start fixing this?

Fixed by running /usr/X11/bin/xf86config.

However I had to choose generic VESA driver as the S3 driver for my chipset didn't work!
