Wireless Card Issues with Rad Hat 9

Okay, I recently installed Red Hat Linux 9 on my computer and, attempted to install the drivers for my Wireless Network Card(I use a WMP11 card with a Linsys Wireless- B router) using a tutorial(which I will be perfectly willing to give the url through a e-mail or PM because sadly I can't just put the url here due to restrictions here)

The tutorial asks me to edit /etc/pcmcia/wlan=ng.opts to say ssid=Linksys insted of ssid=linux_wlan. Unfortunately such a file does not exist in that directory. Cout anyone perhaps tell me what could've possibly gone wrong and, how I can fix it? I'm pretty sure I installed the updated kernel and, drivers properly but the file still isn't there so I am forced to use my parents computer which has Windows XP on it. I tried Lynksys but they're unwilling or unable to help out someone who doesn't use Windows. So, can anyone please help me?

Thanks in advance.
