why can't play wmv file??

help->about plugins->mplayerplug-in v1.0pre2 handles QuickTime Windows Media Player Plugin in Installed plug-ins page

when clicked a wmv file, automatically window appear. 'mplayerplug-in playing **.wmv" mesage appear.
wmv file can't playing, changed to gray screen after a few minutes. why can't play wmv file?

Try to run you Windows Media file in mplayer on its own, ie:
# mplayer my_song.wmv &
if that doesnt work then try to reinstall mplayer.
