Which yum repos for Redhat 9?

Hi everyone,

I just installed a fresh copy of Redhat 9. Then I grabbed the yum from and ran 'yum update'. It updated a lot of stuff, but when I ran 'yum list' I noticed that it didn't list additional software I could install (e.g. irssi, firefox). So, then I added a line to yum.conf for the dag repository (baseurl= Now, I'm able to install additional software.

What other repositories should I add for additional software? Also, I noticed that FedoraLegacy supports Redhat 9, but do I need to add that repository if ayo already provides the os updates?

Ayo doesn't provide anymore updates for Redhat 9, look for the info on their website. Redhat 9 is now a legacy distro, so very few people will be bothered to create updates etc. The fedora legacy site will have some updates but only essential ones and they could discontinue this service anytime. You may want to try Fedora Core or Redhat Enterprise Linnux (or its clones if you can't pay for RHEL).
