where is rpm database file?

Hi

when we run the command rpm -qa, this command will query the rpm database on our system.

So where is this rpm database file located?

On SuSE the rpm database consists of all of the files in the /var/lib/rpm directory. It is probably in the same place in Red Hat. If it isn't then issue this command to find the files that might be the rpm database directory:

rpm -ql rpm | less

I think it's either /var/lib/rpm or /usr/lib/rpmdb/i386-redhat-linux/redhat/
