Weird X error

Hey all,

I find that whenever I run some apps (I made a few apps using kdialog) and when I run from Konsole I get bitBlt: Cannot bitBlt to device. The apps still run fine but i'm a bit worried...

Am I overreacting or is this some sort of a bug?

Also some of my screensavers in xscreensaver (I think only the GL ones) run REALLY slow... if that helps

Perhaps you need accelerated video drivers? Screensavers use huge resources, the bigger and better your graphics card (and it's driver) will determine xscreensaver efficiency.

Probably overreacting and not a bug but rather some hardware deficiencies. NVidia chipsets are usually a good, well-supported choice for a graphics card. Maximum RAM is also good.

K I installed the latest nVidia driver from nvidia.com but I'm still getting the errors...

Any other ideas?

BTW my screensavers are working perfectly now, so i'm taking a good shot that the drivers are definately loading fine
