Using USB CDRom with Redhat7 Install

Hi
I am a TOTAL newbie and am trying to install RedHat 7 on a laptop without a CDRom.I have a USB CDrom connected to a USB2.0 PCMCIA card.
During Installation (booting from a floppy) it says "Connecting Card devices", the Drive light flashes briefly, but I cant access it when it asks where the installation files are. The installation files are also on my windows partition (hda1 i think) but i also dont have access to that from the installer as it insists to use hda2.The partitions were created with partition magic 8 and ready 4 Linux I (obviously) have to type something at the boot: command before the kernel loads.Help me guys the manual says nothing about this !!!
Thanx
