USB Thumbdrive and/or External CD Drive on Redhat 6.2..and maybe some other questions

Ok, i just bought a PC Wizard...its a Cryix 233Mhz (p2 Equal) with 32mb So-Dimm and 5Gb Hard drive (will upgrade the HD and RAM soon), USB 1, PS/2, 10/100 LAN, and it came with a version of Red Hat 6.2 already installed.....and VERY minimal installation at that...it doesn't have a GUI, only Terminal!

can i get it to read either my USB Thumbdrive or USB External CD Drive???

I have no idea what version the Kernal is...but i'll check is someone tells me how

I was originally going to put Peanut on there as i didn't know it came with Red Hat...so if i can get it working properly, i'll keep Red Hat...

and also, can i network it with a WinXP PC??

and can i use something like VNC from Windows to Linux???

its about 15cmx10cmx5cm so its not very big, and i want to use it without having a monitor on it...thats where VNC comes in
