Upgrade KDE 3.2 RHEL WS 3.0

Hi!

I have RHEL WS 3.0 and KDE 3.1. I would like to upgrade to KDE 3.2 so I have installed apt and synaptic. When I use synaptic with relevant kde repositeries I get a list of packages to upgrade like kdelib etc which is ok but I have also a list of packages to be removed like all the gcc stuff, is it normal?

If somebody knows the best way to do the upgrade please let me know

Many thanks!

Better don't upgrade. It causes more trouble than improvements.
