Upgrading the system from Linux redhat-3 to redhat-5 with db2 already running on it
Hey guys,
i have system with linux red hat-3 version and DB2 on it. I am planning to upgrade my system to linux red hat-5 version. I already have a huge amount of data stored on DB2. Is there any way just to upgrade the system without disturbing my database. i really do not want re-install the linux redhat-5 version by removing the redhat-3 as it will be painful and time consuming. Please do let me know if anybody has previously did this stuff and also your experience while doing it. The priority levels are: 1st Priority - Database safety(I do not want to loose any data) 2nd priority - the server cannot be down for a long time (Time is a factor) |
Check Updates Security with up2date
Hello,
I have some servers with Red Hat 4 and other with Red Hat 5. In Red Hat 4, I don't have installed yum's package and I would like to know what is the same command of : "yum check-update --security" but with up2date in rhel4 Thanks so much! Christiam |
Anyones know something about this?
I haven't find any information to do this with up2date. I can access via red hat portal, but its not a good solution. I spend a lot of time. thanks Regards |
