up2date conflicts with apt

i am trying to install up2date on my stripped down redhat and i keep getting errors that it conflicts with apt and can't install. anyone have any ideas how to fix this or why it won't work?? can the kernel be updated with up2date to fix this vulnerability?

If you have a working apt-get, why do you need up2date? I would use one or the other, but not both..
