Angry unknow monitor!!!!!

when i install redhat 9.0 it can not identifi my monitor(is said unknow monitor),and when i try to use graphic mode to install linux then monitor is like turn itself on and off again and again, hence i can not use the graphic mode to install redhat 9.0 linux, however i ignore that, i use text mode insteadwhich work perfectly. and during the installation i choose i the correct type of monitor for monitor option.
when in finish install, and first time run redhat 9.0 everything is fine apart from it can't start x, when it try to start x the monitor do the samethings again(try to repeat turn iself on and off), but when i change to runlevel 3, everything work fine, and ii still can not start x under runlevel 3.
by the way my monitor is hensol 700.

Free bump - same problem here but I thought it was my video card drivers? I also tried to run it at runlevel 3 and it did the same thing - except my monitor just turns off. I have a ViewSonic BTW.

Hi guys

I would suggust using from the cmd prompt redhat-config-xfree86 and choose once again your monitor type but use a lower res and see what happens if this still does not work then use a generic monitor with a lower res and work your way up with the resolution.
