Uninstalling/Upgrading MySQL

EDIT: I figured it out! After about 2 hours of messing with stuff, I got MySQL up and running without any errors whatsoever, and Apache and everything else works! I still need to know how to copy a file from CD to the system under the command line...
Pre-Thank you

You can remove a package by issuing the --no deps option with rpm -e. Read the rpm man page for more info. Be careful when forcing out packages, you could kill the system!

May I suggest that you read some documentation on basic system administration tasks. Moving files around the file system is essential knowledge for proper system maintenance
