unable to fdisk /dev/hdc

howzit

I currently have 3 IDE drives on my RH9 box 2 disks are running raid 0. The other disk is partioned with W2K.

Primary Master --> Linux - Raid 0
Primary Slave --> Linux - Raid 0

Secondary Master --> W2K

Under linux when I fdisk it only sees the first two disks and is not able to see /dev/hdc. Why? and how can I make it be seen buy linux?

I have tried the following and found that the drive is seen by linux, I say this because under my dmesg file it seen and tells me the model name etc, etc. I goto the /proc dir and under ide it also appears.

How do I make this drive seen under linux please help?

Thanking everyone for their input

What do you get upon running parted /dev/hdc print and fdisk -l /dev/hdc?

well it does not see the drive at all no /dev/hdc nothing all the details drom the other drives comes up. I took a look at the /proc/ide/ide1/hdc/
all the files have my hard rive details but when it boots it says something about not finfing Sector 0. I was wondering if it could be that I am running a NTFS pation on that drive :scratch:

Erhm, what output do you get? It is difficult to assist you when you don't cooperate.

You can get prebuilt NTFS drivers for Red Hat Linux here:
http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/info/redhat.html

But fdisk is fs-independent.

You wrote, you get info about hdc in dmesg | grep ^hdc, so what do you get when you run the two suggested commands?

And what is logged in /var/log/messages about hdc?
