New to Linux. Trying to rexec from other unix to linux. after password, get 'Where are you' from Linux. Not able to connect. Have changed params. in securetty to allow rexec. /etc/pam.d/rexec commented out pam_nologin.so and pam_securetty.so. What else needs to be done?

Can't help you on this one. I have banned all Berkeley "R" protocols from every network I run for more than ten years. They are too easily subverted, I can't afford the security risk.

Nowadays this is no big deal, ssh can accomplish anything I might want to do with rsh/rlogin/rexec/telnet and the scp and sftp transports that come with ssh replace rcp and ftp also.

If you want to use ssh/sftp, though, I'm pretty up-to-date on that stuff.
