Unhappy StorageWorks MSL4048 Tape Library


hello, plz i have hp StorageWorks MSL4048 Tape Library connected to SAN with all the servers connected to the SAN but i am having difficulty using the tape library on o backup my files. my OS are Red hat 5 and windows 2008 server enterprise. but my major concern is the Linux to be able to see the tape library and be able to backup.

Is it a scsi tape drive and scsi tape changer?
Then you are probably safe. I had no problem using a HP tapechanger and Dell Powervault 132t for using as backup medium on a Bacula server.
There is a general driver for such hardware.
When you do a scsi bus rescan you should get entries in /dev/tape/... or something.
