I have installed Red Hat 9 and am pretty new to it.

My motherboard is ASUS (about a year and a half old one).
My sound card is not getting detected ,what steps I have to follow and
what are the libraries may I have to install?

try using lspci to see if the card/hardware is seen

then use redhat-config-soundcard to try installing

if not go then try using the ALSA driver found on here
