Slow PHP+MySQL on RH9
 

Hello,

I have just installed a new server with RedHat Linux 9.0 and all the updates. The machine is a Pentium4 3.0 GHZ HT (and is recognized as such by the kernel) and has 2 GB of RAM, so it should be fast enough.

The problem is that the performance of PHP using MySQL-queries is very very bad. Does anybody have a similar problem or even better a solution for this?

The same server with RedHat Linux 7.3 and updates outperforms the one with the new RedHat by far.
