Slow IPC in 4000+ processes
 
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but asking never the less.

I have an multiprocess application that is dependent on IPC calls. We have around 4000+ processes running.

Currently we upgraded the system to RHEL 6.4, and now are observing that IPC calls msgrcv() are taking longer time, approx 120~200 miliseconds to complete which was previously 10~20 miliseconds on RHEL 5.4.

Is there any tunable to optimize this behavior?

Why not the latest v6 - 6.7 ?

Linux kernel is 2.6.32-431.

This version was given by the IT.
We opened a case, but no avail.
