shared Internet access, same box, dual boot, win xp and rh9

I have a Win XP connection to the Internet using DSL. This same computer has a separate disc with RH9. I use a dual boot. Thus far I'm unable to access the Internet using RH9. Can anyone tell me how to set RH9 to use the same DSL modem used by WIn XP? Non-geek language, please. - mgl

A little more information about your modem would be useful - what make/model is it? How does it connect to your machine, USB or ethernet?
