Sending data nonstop.....

Since early this week my Linux has been sending out data nonstop, it sends out so much data that not only does it takes up all my bandwidth, it also crashs my router.

nmap is not returning anything special, don't see any weird addresses from netstat. Can someone help on finding out what is sending out all these data and stop it?

I am using RedHat9. Thanks.

You can use ethereal to capture the packets, see where they're going and what's in them (assuming the traffic isn't encrypted).

Thanks for the suggestion, I have stumbled upon the processes that were generating all the traffic, a bunch of files named sysac* in the /sbin. So after I killed them, I found out in the maillog that something is trying to send out emails to a yahoo account, starting from around the time I deleted those files. My sendmail wasn't running so nothing has actually been sent out. Any way to find out what is sending out these emails? Thanks in advance.
