SATA hard drive problem
Hi, I submitted this thread in Linux Hardware, but I think i should submit it here too:
Hi there.
I'm trying to install RHEL 3.0 & I would like to know if there is any way of making the installation program assign other mountpoint different from /dev/sda to my SATA drive or to my USB floppy.
I'm finding some trouble because my USB floppy is mounted as /dev/sda, and when I load ata_piix driver, new /dev/sda is one of my SATA hard drives. I want to load a megaide SATA RAID driver from the USB floppy, but to load that driver, the driver ata_piix needs to be previously loaded. So then, /dev/sda is my fisrt SATA drive and I don't have access to my floppy to load de megaide driver.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks indeed
