Samba-3, Active Directory, file permissions
 

I am having an issue with File Permissions on a Samba-3 server, running under RedHat ES 4.
I have setup and successfully joined a Samba-3 server to a Windows 2003 Active Directory domain.
I have created shares on the Samba-3 server that are accessible to all authorized users. Users receive authorization via Active Directory, there are no local accounts contained on the Samba-3 server itself.
User are able to manipulate files as far as editing, saving, copying, creating and moving is concerned.
The issue is that a user can change the file permissions of a file, via Windows File Manager and properties of the file, from Read-Only to Read-Write. If they turn around and then attempt to change the file permissions of that same file from Read-Write to Read-Only it won't allow this, or rather, it appears to let them make this change, but if they go right back in and check the file permissions settings, you can see that the change did not take and the file is still Read-Write.
The user is a member of the Group that has access to this file, however the user is not the owner. I have made the user the owner, but the same thing happens as such.l
ACLs are allows and have been put into place.

How can I configure this share and/or the directories contained within this share so that users can alter the file permissions as necessary as if this was an actual Windows share?
